About Adamson Training and Consulting

Meet Thomas Adamson
With over 20 years of experience in the roofing and building envelope industry, Thomas has built his career on a foundation of hands-on expertise, leadership, and a commitment to advancing quality across Alberta and beyond
My Journey
Thomas began his career in 2006 in Europe, working hands-on with the installation of a wide variety of roof systems. In 2011, he entered the Canadian market, joining a national roofing company where he quickly advanced to the role of foreman. By 2012, Thomas was leading crews and projects across multiple sectors.
In 2017, he was offered a management role at a smaller local roofing company, which expanded his knowledge of business operations and project delivery. In 2019, Thomas returned to the national company in a leadership capacity before moving into roof consulting in 2021. At that time, he accepted a senior project manager role with a local building envelope company, focusing on a diverse range of projects within the commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential sectors.

Educator & Mentor
In 2022, Thomas expanded his career into education as an instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), where he trains roofing apprentices to become certified journeypersons and helps shape the next generation of roofing professionals. His commitment to industry advancement extends beyond the classroom through his role as Director of Education for the Canadian Prairies Chapter, where he support educational initiatives, professional development, and the advancement of roofing and building envelope best practices throughout Western Canada. Teaching and industry leadership have reinforced his belief that excellence in roofing begins with strong training, technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality.

TESTIMONIALS
“His ability to provide expert guidance, navigate complex challenges, and ensure quality results makes him an invaluable partner to have on your team.”
A few years ago, I worked with Thomas on a science centre renovation project and it was an excellent experience. He’s extremely knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and takes real pride in his workmanship, supported by a thorough quality control process. Even with unique challenges like circular, sloped roofs, Thomas managed the project with precision and professionalism. I would highly recommend him as a consultant for any project.
